Cons of Ting's mobile offering:
Like any other service, Ting is not for everyone. Depending on your usage and needs, another service may be better suited to your needs. You can use the savings calculator on their site to fihure how much you would save. Here are some cons that we found while evaluating their service:
Need to buy a new phone from Ting - at present you can't take your Sprint phone to work with Ting.
Data rates are a bit high for heavy data users. They don't charge a tethering/hotspotting fee, so that helps those who use this feature, but others high data users may need to check their data usage before committing .
The range of phones is good but still limited compared to other larger carriers.
No iPhone! For iPhone lovers this may be an issue. However, with the latest and greatest Android phones, this may be just a matter of getting used to.
